Where and Why – With Views of Venus

I’m so excited to share with you all my first ever blogger collaboration with Charlotte from Views of Venus. We have both decided to write about our dream destination, and why we want to go there! Check out Charlotte’s blog over at viewsofvenus.com

The Grand Canyon – Views of Venus

I have been fortunate enough to visit many beautiful parts of the world, but one place on my Bucket List is definitely the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is the only one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World found in North America. It’s also the most popular National Park in the United States. If more than 5 million people can visit the Grand Canyon each year, then why can’t I?

Some people like the hustle and bustle of city life and others love the history of old archaeological sites. Personally, I prefer the wonders of nature and beautiful scenic views. There’s something special about looking out into the distance and seeing nothing but vast open spaces; most days all I can see when I look outside is the office car park. I just love the idea of escaping everyday life to soak in the beautiful stillness of the desert. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to tick it off the map!

Iceland – Elle Louise

Iceland is one of the places I am absolutely dying to travel too, it’s been on my bucket list since I can remember! The thought of laying under the northern lights, whilst all cosy in bed with a hot chocolate – I’d have to go to one of those hotels where the rooms have transparent roofs, they seem rather costly and usually I go for pretty budget accommodation, but I definitely I wouldn’t mind spending extra in a place like this!

Another of the many reasons I would love to go to Iceland is for the Blue Lagoon. Can you just imagine, the warm pool with the bluest water, with usually pretty cold temperatures outside, I’d be tempted to stay in all day! The scenery around Iceland, with the great mountains and beautiful waterfalls, is absolutely amazing too. This country is my idea of absolute heaven. I love super hot destinations as much as the next person, but I think there is something so magical about a place like Iceland or ‘The Land of Fire and Ice’ as it’s often called!

Welcome to the blogisphere! What a cute idea for blog post collab!
I haven’t been to Iceland yet, but my friends are all raving about the aurora. Definitely looking into going to Grand Canyon soon again. But honestly, I just want a week long trip in some calm countryside next to water! You miss trees and waters, living in the city!

I’m with you on that! I grew up with the sea front right on my doorstep, and miss nature living in a city centre now! Thank you!

This is such a cute collab! I really enjoyed the read. I live in the US and both of these places are on my bucket list of places to travel! I can’t wait to experience the lagoon! About two years ago, my boyfriend and I took a road trip from our home in North Carolina to New York City. It was the most relaxing vacation in our country’s busiest city. It was marvelous – so much to do – we didn’t even scrape the surface. But this past Christmas we took a little getaway to the mountains near us in a cozy little cabin. We had an amazing, quiet weekend to ourselves. I love both types of travels!

I would absolutely love to go to the blue lagoon in Iceland it looks so beautiful! While I was in Vegas last January for my brother’s wedding we could have visited the Grand Canyon but it had snowed really bad there so it wouldn’t have been worth it! I’d have loved to see it, will hopefully get to go back one day!
