A Great Addition for a Healthy 2020

Coconut Bowl with Smoothie

With it being the start of a new year, and a new decade, it’s a great time to re-evaluate and create resolutions (or not, if that’s not your thing!). Personally, I decide I would try an be a little more healthy where possible, (we won’t talk about the takeaway I had last night..). When I was in Montpellier in France over the summer, I fell in love again with fresh and healthy produce – and especially healthy brunches such as smoothie bowls, poke bowls and acai bowls! I told myself I wanted to try make my own! Luckily for me, I was sent 4 gorgeous coconut bowls and coconut spoons from Global First – Vie Gourmet collection.

I absolutely love these bowls, they are made from real, sustainable coconuts and seem so durable! It was nice to have the option of getting a set of 4, as I love having friends over. These bowls are perfect for cold food such as smoothies bowls, as well as hot food like soups and curries. They are also eco friendly and ethically sourced, a really fun alternative to normal bowls. Especially as they are all unique in their colours and patterns! They were so easy to clean, I hand washed the bowl and spoon and they were good to go again!

What’s In My Smoothie?

The smoothie bowl I made above was from frozen berries, chocolate protein, and low fat yoghurt… Topped with a drizzle of peanut butter, dark chocolate and a sprinkling of berries. A real treat! I really enjoy how ‘grammable to bowls are too! I’m sure they’ll be featuring on my feed soon, but maybe when I improve my smoothie bowl presentation though..

I really love these bowls and will definitely post more images of the recipes I try out in them. If you’re interested in getting your own – sign up to the newsletter on the website for £10 off your first order! Also, check out Global1st’s Vie Natural’s range if you’re interested in ethically sourced home decor/skincare. They really try to limit plastic and waste and are sustainable and ethical in these products too!
